The Classic route begins with the ascent from Sesto to the Kreuzberg Pass. This is followed by the descent to Padola, which was completed the day before in the opposite direction.
The Challengers have to overcome a total of 1,000 meters in altitude before they meet the Stoneman tour again at 2,300 meters above sea level, past the Alpe-Nemes hut. The single trail that follows makes you forget the effort of the ascent.
The two routes then meet in San Stefano.
Now all participants of the TransTirol Pioneer Tour have a further 750 vertical meters uphill to the Passo della Digola on the program. The final descent then ends at the stage destination in Sappada.
